Boy, does it feel nice to be back at school! The break was needed and I'm ready to be back! The week back from Christmas Break brings a lot of common assessments. Common assessments are a way for teachers to monitor your student's progress. This is done 3 times a year. In 6th grade Language Arts students give me a writing sample. I can look at this and be able to see where your student is at in their writing. This also tells me what I need to teach or reteach.
Tuesday 1/5--Writing Sample
Wednesday 1/6 -- Free Read day. Book report is due THIS FRIDAY!
Thursday 1/7-- Work on book report. We will be making a mobile. Please ask your student to see the instructions as they were sent home with your student.
Book Report due Friday!
Friday 1/8-- Book Report due at the beginning of class!
We will be looking more into plurals and possessives. Students will need to know the proper use of an apostrophe. Extra credit is available by finding misused apostrophes in our community!
